On July 30, 2021, DOBRA Foundation was liquidated by the state authorities
of Belarus, along with 800 organizations, following the political crisis
of 2020 in the country.
The Dobra Local Social Foundation is a nonprofit organization working to promote social innovation, responsible and sustainable business practices, social and impact investments. Acts as an infrastructural player that pools the resources of individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses to implement socially useful projects in Belarus.
The main purpose of Foundation is to attract and unite financial, intellectual
and organizing resources to realize social impact programs&projects
to develop social investment, social innovations and social entrepreneurship.
The DOBRA Foundation was directly involved in the implementation and was itself the lead partner in 440 projects in 8 years.
Foundation has a lot of positive experience and joint projects with global corporations (e.g. EPAM, SAP, Flo, Pepsi Co., A1, Deloitte, Accenture), worldwide institutions (e.g. UN agencies (UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA), Europien Comission programmes (EVPA, ERASMUS+), USAID) and High-net-worth individual.
The DOBRA Foundation was established in August, 2017. Nevertheless, its
activities started earlier - in 2013 with appearing the largest contest
of social projects in Belarus with educational and accelerations tracks
– Social Weekend. 16 contests were happened, about 4500 initiatives of
non-governmental organizations and citizens take participated in it and
more than 1M USD were invested by individual sponsors and companies.
Besides, It is among the organizers of the Annual Social Business Forum, Social Impact Forum, other educational seminars and trainings about this topic.
Also The DOBRA Foundation plays a leading role in Belarus in the developing
the right frameworks for a market for corporate sustainability and corporate
social responsibility, by unleashing the benefits for key economic sectors
(including exchange of experience, analytics, analytics) and engaging in
practical activities.
Since March 2018 DOBRA Foundation has been hosting The UN Global Compact
initiative in Belarus.
